“Start writing, no matter what. The water does not flow until the faucet is turned on.”

— Louis L’Amour

COVID lockdown days

Being in my native with my husband, my parents and inlaws made these tough times easier for me. I decided to give more time to my music than usual as I had no classes to teach. I spent a lot of time with family members, played Chowka Baara every day. Still had a lot of time left to kill or utilize. I started to look for writing jobs online. Though I had no experience in the field, I was a little confident.

The writer in me

I have been a writer at heart for a very long time. I always had thoughts run through my mind, whenever I am in a certain situation or when life surprises me, in a writing fashion. I always pen down my thoughts. Bug of having my blog, content creation was there in my head always. Never got a push.

It all started when my husband searched for online classes for content writing. He said, “here is a nice opportunity, 5 days workshop, also it has good reviews, subscribe for it”. After going through their web page(technically the landing page), I decided and joined. That’s Content Vidhya.

Our coach Uma Madhavi a wonderful instructor guided me and many others through the path of writing. Her simplicity, methodology won my heart.

Just writing is not enough, knowing how to write is important. I haven’t learned it all. But, whatever I have, has made me confident to begin my journey as a writer (if one may say so).

That’s how I spent(or added) my last week.

End thoughts

I write because it gives me a channel to all my emotions. It makes me relieved, calm, and peaceful.

Before 6 days I was just the one wondering to have a writing job. Now I know how to write, how I can grow, I have a blog and I have started writing. That is the most wonderful difference a week can make.

Follow your heart. Everything works out at the end.
